We now keep up to the week CARA information on our FACEBOOK CARA PAGE
SAFETY STARTS WITH DRESSING RIGHT
Daily Practice- spandex shorts, crock style slip ons, running shoes, socks, water bottle, long sleeve shirt over short sleeve shirt, sunglasses, and name on everything. Stay in our team colors: Golden Yellow, Black, Grey, and White. No logos or other printed items on items worn into the boathouse and practice.
Cold Weather- means layering your clothes to shed as you get hot. No bare skin except for hands and faces. Short sleeve shirts, no socks, or tanks are not acceptable. A stocking cap or fleece warmer for your ears is a good idea. Water is still needed in the cold. Make sure to have your water bottles near you.
Warm Weather - means being ready for sudden rains, bugs, and scorching sun. Plenty of water, sunglasses, visor hats, sunblock and water based bugspray are all good ideas for rowing in Savannah. Until we get our CARA jackets, pull over windbreakers will help keep chill off in light spring rain.
GET READY
To be on a rowing team, one should get the following items:
1. A camping type screw top water bottle that can hold 32oz. NO DEHYDRATION.
2. Clothes that fit your body. Equipment snags loose shorts and baggy shirts.
3. Comfortable slide on sandals. NO FLIP FLOPS
4. Sunscreen and water based bug repellent.
5. A duffle bag for all your gear.
6. Sometype of pullover rain/wind proof slicker for rowing in the rain.
